The boring bits, answered.

Is swapping a driving test actually allowed?

Yes. The DVSA allows learners to change their test date through their official booking system, including via a 3-way call where two learners exchange dates with a DVSA agent on the line. We just help you find each other. We don't touch your DVSA account.

Why is this free? What's the catch?

There's no catch. We built this because the DVSA backlog is brutal and existing "test finder" services charge a fortune. We pay the costs ourselves and there are no ads, no premium tiers, and no hidden fees. If we ever need to change that, we'll tell you well in advance.

How long does it take to find a match?

Honest answer: it depends. Popular centres in big cities (London, Manchester, Birmingham) often match within days. Smaller or rural centres can take a few weeks. The more flexible you are about dates, the faster it goes.

Will my details be public?

No. Your name, email, and date are visible only to you and to a potential match — and only after both of you confirm you're interested. We never publish a list of names or post anything to social media.

What if my match cancels at the last minute?

Then no swap happens — your existing test stays exactly where it is. You haven't lost anything. You're free to list again and look for another match.

Do I need to be a UK resident?

You need a DVSA driving test booked in the UK (England, Scotland, or Wales). It doesn't matter where you live or what licence you hold, as long as you've got a real test booking to swap.

Are you affiliated with the DVSA or gov.uk?

No. We're an independent service. The DVSA is the official UK driving test authority — we're a free community board that helps learners coordinate. Anything you do on the DVSA site stays between you and them.
